Launch of Video Podcast!

Attention!

On April 29th, I will be launching a podcast video on ways to keep our environment clean. In other words, the do’s and dont’s! It may be full of things you’ve heard of and maybe things you would’ve never thought of. This will be a creative way to help our environment and fix up all the issues that are going on in our world today and in your own community. I’m sure I’ll have a fun time creating it, and you will all have a great time viewing it. This is a must watch podcast! Promise you will enjoy it. One week and a day to go!

Letter From the Editor

The environment is something you are very familiar with. It is everything! The street we walk on, the air we breathe, the food we eat, the things we do. It’s everything that makes up our surroundings and affects our ability to live on the earth.

My blog was created to inform my viewers on our environment. The good, the bad, and the do’s and don’ts. Think about it as the news, but instead of it being broadcasted on television, it’s online. It’s a place where people can interact with one another and engage in conversations, rather than sitting down and watching it and talking back to an object. A place where you can discuss environmental issues that are going on in the world or even in your own community. Also, you as viewers can chat about ways to improve those issues. This is a way in which you as a citizen can become more aware of the things that are really happening. Many things go on in our environment that no ones really knows about, therefore, that is why I created this blog.

            My blog will include:

  • Facts
  • Details
  • Updates
  • Videos
  • Pictures

This is a great way to meet people. A great way to become a better person. A good deed! Our environment is a beautiful place, a place in which we should treat with all respect. A place where we should come together and work as a team to make it a better place. I wish that you all visit my blog, enjoy it, and love it! Save your environment!

The Walking Dead & Weather Climate and Behavior

Will the winter slow down or stop the Zombies? Or will it make it harder for the
survivors? Does hot weather make zombies harder to kill?

As I was watching an episode of The Walking Dead, I realized that it was easier for Rick and the crew to kill and be active because the weather was warm. But, what about the winter time? They’re going to have to worry about finding a lot more things than just weapons and food.

They going to need: coats, hats, scarves and gloves.

And then I thought, what about the zombies? Are they going to be as active as they are now in the warm weather. Will they die? Will it be harder for them to move?

Schools and Factories function the same?

Have you guys noticed that schools and factories all funtion the same way? Everyone is split into different sections. There are rules you have to follow. You’re being watched by someone with “authority.” If you misbehave in school, they send you to principal and there is a possibility you can be expelled, depending on the situation. In factories, they’ll fire you. Uniforms? Why aren’t we allowed to wear whatever we’d like? What about your 30 minute lunch break? The only time you are allowed to speak to one another.

“Sure, there was some moral outrage about seven-year-olds losing fingers andbeing abused at work, but the economic rationale was paramount. Factoryowners insisted that losing child workers would be catastrophic to their industriesand fought hard to keep the kids at work—they said they couldn’t afford to hireadults. It wasn’t until 1918 that nationwide compulsory education was in place.Part of the rationale used to sell this major transformation to industrialists wasthe idea that educated kids would actually become more compliant and productiveworkers. Our current system of teaching kids to sit in straight rows and obeyinstructions isn’t a coincidence—it was an investment in our economic future. The plan: trade short-term child-labor wages for longer-term productivity bygiving kids a head start in doing what they’re told.” (Godin, p 10)

Beach Salt Water

Beach Salt Water

Bacterial microbes in the water could cause an infection if splashed on an open wound. Bacteria present in the environment are what cause infections, not elements like salt or water.

The salt water can heal some people’s open cuts, but for someone with, for example, diabetes, it mmight kill them. Only because their immune system is weaker and may not be able to fight off infections, that it might cause.

Does every picture have to convey a meaning?

The phrase “A picture is worth a thousand words” comes from the US in the 20th century. It means that a picture can tell a story just as good as a descriptive text. Of course, you need to be open-minded! It’s a great way to stimulate your mind. In 1921, Frederick R. Bernard published a graphic peice named “One look is worth a thousand words.” He then issued an image with the Chinese Proverb saying “One picture worth ten thousand words.” It was done in chinese proverb because they thought it would soon become popular. Yet, there is a controversy between the two, but neither is corect. It has been said that this was first said, in 1862, in a novel.
